Which is kind of annoying. Hopefully the Bookstore updates the list as soon as the profs give them their book info. I'm waiting on two classes.

I'm pretty sure that the textbooks are the same for day and evening if you have the same prof. Since it IS the prof that specifies which textbooks you need, I would stick to the books that your prof has said to buy for day classes.

This is for BIO 1P03
Perhaps it could be an error? Either way, I'd like to get my hands on one of those used ones before they sell out
|
Sorry, but I don't think that's right. That's a VERY big gap, and it says there are 347 used stock, and no new stock. I think it's an error, sorry :(
If it's true though, get in there and buy the used book!

Hmm.. I see that. If it was me, I wouldn't buy the books listed there now, since it only says "day". Wait a few more days. Even if the books for day and night class are the same, it should still say "Day class" and "Evening class".

keep in mind they constantly keep updating the site with new info, so wait a bit. or if you are in a hurry, email them about it..
is the eveningand night the same prof? if its different, they might have different requirements for textbooks.

That huge gap between both the used book and the new book is odd, but the actually quantity is possible. It probobly means that they're ordering new books now... they might have had that class during summer school, hence why there are so many used and barely any new.

Go onto the Master Time Table and search the class. The row that tells you all the core section times, where it is, what day it's on, etc: at the end of that row it should say the professors last name and first initial. If not, then I dunno.
Example from my 16th cent English class:
|
|
| | C01 | Mo We | 11:30 | 12:20 | 3 | BSB/136
| SILCOX, MV
|
| | | Fr | 13:30 | 14:20 | 3 | BSB/136
| SILCOX, MV
|
Silcox is the profs last name and MV is her initials.

lol not stupid at all! Go to the Master Timetable, look up the class, and next to where the CORE class is listed, it'll say the prof. If there's no prof there, that means they havent been assigned yet.
Example:
C01 | Mo | 19:00 | 22:00 | 1 | JHE/326H
| DECICCA, P
|
Therefore, the prof is DeCicca

The Titles website shows New and Used stock (as you've posted above).
THEIR STOCK FLUCTUATES ON A REGULAR BASIS. Thus keep checking back. It could be that they haven't received a shipment of new books yet or they sold out and are waiting for the next shipment (this is common).
With regards to buying used books, as I've said in a couple articles before, if there are used books available its probably a good idea to buy them early (ie. before school starts). Buy as many used books from Titles as you can since they are much cheaper than the new ones. At least this way you're sure to get your main textbooks at a cheaper price before all the used books are sold out and you can always return them for a full refund if you decide to drop the course.
Just make sure not to buy custom courseware until you're 100% sure you want to keep the course and not drop it, since you can't return those for a refund.

How would you know if it's custom courseware? Would it be indicated somewhere?

It will say Custom Courseware on the cover, usually along with the course code (ie. History 3P03). Also, Custom Courseware doesn't look like a textbook. I'm not sure how to explain what it looks like.
It's just paper, with black binding on the side. They don't look like textbooks.
