If the course is required for your program, contact your academic advisor and tell them your situation. They should open a seat for you.

I e-mail as many people as I can. It's probably very selfish of me but I like to get an answer quickly. If they are open though I like to call in. It's a lot faster than waiting for a reply via e-mail.

Also, where can I find a map of the buildings? My schedule at the moment has some 10 minute breaks in between courses and I kind of want to know how far away they are from each other. Is it something I should even be concerned about?

One more thing: I chose Linguistics as my elective. It's an evening class. The core is from 19:00 - 21 and the tutorial runs from 21:00 - 22:00. They're both in the same building but will this be a problem for me?

@AeRo: Several nursing students that I've managed to add on facebook are experiencing the same problems. Many of us are. I'm pretty sure the contacts have been bombarded with the same questions/concerns haha. BTW join the group!!! McMaster Nursing 2013.
