We've already tied our medal count for the last time we hosted the games.

Did anyone watch the long program for men's figure skating? How did Patrick Chan get 160 (which is up there), yet:
1) He didn't attempt any quads, whereas most did.
2) He fell twice.
3) There were a handful who didn't fall and pulled great performances, and still got less points than that.
Rigged, anyone?

Yeah they were quite generous. Few rival his artistry though.

Apparently his footwork saved him, or something. I dunno.
Anyone feel like we should have more medals by now? It seems like a lot fo events are falling short of expectations.

Well I think 4 golds, 3 silvers, and 1 bronze (8 medals in total) isn't too bad so far. Yeah it seems slow when you see the US, Germany, and Norway already pulling double digits on their medal count, but we still have until the 28th. Go Canada !

Remember that per capita, we're doing very, very well. Also, we're tied for 3rd overall in gold medals, which is also awesome for a country of 30 million.

If you watch any of the coverage where they talk about the medal counts they've been saying that most of our big medal events will be coming closer to the end so not to worry too much about it yet.

Yup, we should have 4 medals waiting for us in the last 3 days. 2 for hockey and 2 for curling.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves with the men's hockey medal here...
Maybe this statement will be more warranted after tonight (let's hope so)
