No really, OSAP gives you lots of free money (grants and such) and only half of it or so is the actual loan you have to pay back

also the iphone will be updated again in july, im certain it will be a design overhall. I suggest purchasing an unlocked phone. I purchased the LG km900, its apps arent as intuitive, but the mp3 player is amazing, the screen is higher rez 400 * 800, 5 mega pixel camera, same capacative screen and an amazing UI. Also the iphone 3G runs out of battery quicker then other phones.

Another option worth suggesting might be to go for a simpler phone model that won't run your expenses up in the long term and buy an iPod touch. Save the camera and the calling features, (and if you already have your own camera this might be more applicable), I personally don't find the iPhone worth the investment.
Not only do you need that data plan but over time you end up investing more into the phone than you would if you went with a $0 down plan + simpler phone + iPod Touch.

Another feature I really dislike about the iPhones and Apple in general (though it's a double edged sword, I admit) is how rapidly they keep overhauling their products and redesigning them and scrapping their original ideas.
Would an iPhone be released next summer? Probably and at that point you may wish to purchase that.

I suppose the real question to ask yourself is does the current model have the all the features you're looking for and then some (as we want more with time) or is waiting worth it?

Speaking of LG's, I like the LG Arena but it's quite pricey.

I'd definitely go with the iphone if I had to choose since it has way more features than the HTC ever will and the apps always come in handy.
