I haven't read all the posts on this thread but I thought the agreed upon name was 1280 (as in with numbers not letters). I think the numbers one is way better, and what is with this new tacky logo especially the misplaced E. Can this place not do anything right?! If it must be written out do it without that horrendous looking 'e'.

Definetely, the student population voted on 1280. Although they did state that they changed it to TwelvEighty as to dictate how "1280" was pronounced and for legal reasons, I really think 1280 would've looked better as a logo.

By the way, I dropped by 1280 today and everyone better get disgustingly excited! The place looks fantastic and does not feel like a dungeon anymore! They are far along with what looks to be a fantastic menu. And they were installing wifi in there!!!!! honestly, this place is going to be amazing. I just hope they can get a killer dj for club nights who can match the one from the second half of last year, and some wicked bands!

So, MacInsiders members are going to print off their own logos and sneakily put it over the ones the school makes right?

1280 could have looked slicker in my opinion. Something like this:

Meh, "Quarters" was more meaningful. The part of the university wherein the bar is located is closer to a different street (1280 Main Street West is the school's address), making the new name kind of lame.
The logo isn't that attractive - I fee like I want to straighten the E.

So they're no longer going to charge $7 for crappy, processed chicken fingers and cold fries?

Yeah, I know. But that's pretty harsh for a joke.

OK I apologize. I'm used to posting photoshops for a different community, who are a bit harsh with their jokes. I'll take it down if it offends too many people here.

That is why "Sterling Street Grille" was one of the ideas. It was located at the end of stirling street.

I would have gone for that. This'll teach me for living with my head in the ground (and books too... I guess) when the voting was going on.
