Its sad when teams like tampa bay, atlanta and pheonix have a better managment, owners and players than the TO. Not to mention only have to pay like $20 instead of $200 for tickets!

the reason why the owners and players in TO are messed up is because the Teachers Union owns the TML franchise. I read about this in the Toronto Star.

And the Ontario Teacher's Pension Plan is a majority owner of MLSE.

Can we maybe spend some time focusing on some real teams now, other than the Laughs (opps I mean Leafs)...gets a little tiring hearing about them all the time, bottom line they are terrible team, not going to change tomorrow , next week or next month. Leafs fans, you got exactly what you wanted last year (new GM and coach), and now are still complaining as usual. As long as you continue to support the garbage teams MLSE puts on the ice, they will continue to screw you over with second and third rate players. Simple solution- vote with your wallets and send a message. It worked in Chicago and Boston over the last couple years, there were lots of empty seats and the management for those teams were FORCED to get proper players and ice competetive teams....it's not complicated people, no fans in seats= no revenue= management/ownership getting your message....!

Unfortunately, I dont buy leaf tix or their merchandise because I hate MLSE. Imho, leaf tickets are rarely bought by the true leaf fans. Most of them are bought out by the corporate stooges, and thats one of the reasons why more than 75% of the stadium is full of people in suits. Until these people stop buying the tix, the MLSE wont stop hiring GMs and coach. I never really liked the hiring on BB (high ego, and too impatient for proper rebuilding) but I wont judge him until season ends.

Now for the part about teams. This is a leafs thread so if you want attention for your team, why not just start your own thread instead of just coming on here to state the obvious. Its not like your team is doing good either!

This is coming from a Habs fan, but neither of those teams have better management or owners than Toronto: Don Waddell is on the hot since since the Trashers have only made the playoffs once in their 9 seasons in the NHL and are at risk of losing their franchise player (Kovalchuk) to free-agency in the off season if they don't show any progress. Management in Tampa Bay has been a circus lately, with the two owners (Koules & Barry) jousting for control over the team. Their was a large power-struggle over the summer off-season on whether or not to fire GM Brian Lawton and what to do with Vincent Lecavalier. And despite having a good group of young talent in Turris, Tikonov, Mueller, Boedker and Ekman-Larson, Phoenix is still one of the least profitable teams in the league and their current owner wants no part of it anymore.

In terms of the Leafs season, yeah they're struggling, but it's only 6 games into the regular season. Remember in 2007 when the Ottawa Senators started the season 12-2 and a lot of people were saying that they were the best team of the new millennium? Look how that turned out.

Its the goalies. The leafs were dominant against a hot rangers team. Henrik Lundqvist stole the show tbh (1-36).
Joey Macdonald let in a soft 2nd and maybe even 3rd goal. Goals like thse deflate the team, and players start to over-do stuff leading to mistakes and more goals against.

We need a NHL goalie. I think Gus can get the job done, but he wont be back till next weekend or so.
