They played well the whole game. All of Van goals were pp in the first period when even w a good start they took 5 straight penalties. When u do that the opposing team figures out ur pk strategy thus 4th/5th pk resulting in GA. The leafs were ok but need more offense.

have some faith. lol

We are still waiting for Kessel and are 2 injured goaltenders to arrive hopefully soon.

Yes i know 1 person is not going to make a difference but it will pick the whole team up. Right now the leafs dont have a star player to work for. Once kessel and gustav are back in the line up, i think they will feel more confident about their play.

This is my personal opinion but i think they need someone like tucker to stand beside the net and sick those shots that fly across the goal crease. lol. They have had a lot of shots where the puck just slides from one side of the ice to the other.

Anyways im still hopefull for now.

Rumor has it Kessel will be back Nov 3rd, hoping so cause im gonna be in the stands for that game and would be nice to see the whole team play

The thing about kessel that worries me and probably worries most leafs fan is that kessel has nobody here he can play with to be productive. He had savard in Boston to pass him the puck. Toronto had no one close to savard. So unless burkie can land a number 1 centre, kessel's not going help much offensively in my opinion.

Yea thats true, i agree we dont have someone to help supprt Kessel. But if you look at a lot of the games is we are missing that person to make the last shot to get in the goal. If you look at the leafs they just need some one to do that. There are times where they make some amazing passes but noone wants to shoot.

Its hard to say which way the addition of kessel and gustav is going to turn out. WE'll find soon i guess.

good win for the leafs. I thought they played well however they still need to do a few things better. Their pk can still improve, and so can their defense. Gustavsson looked good even though his sv% was below 0.900, it was his first game back and he made a few stellar saves.

Lets see if they can carry this momentum with them.

1-1. im liking the way they are playing
maybe its just me but it seems like the leafs are a lot more confident with someone to back them up in the net.

Yeah, they certainly are much more confident. Gustavsson is looking great.
