You could ask if you can move the things in yourself... but it would be so much faster and easier to let the reps move your stuff for you. If you move it yourself you will have to use the stairs.

Just let the reps move your stuff and keep your valuables/fragile items on your person.

You can help... Certainly. Reps will ONLY carry your non-valuables, and we'll respect your wishes: We won't grab anything until you point and say "non-valuable, non-breakable"

Move in is extremely easy, there are people there to help you out and direct you everywhere you need to go. Everyone is extremely nice and helpful, and to those in engineering, the red-suits are some sexy, sexy folks. Moving all your stuff in shouldn't take to long, and if you do it fast enough, you have time to explore campus a bit before you start doing residence stuff.

Once our parents (or the driver of the vehicle) drops us off and are directed to the parking lot, is there a bus that takes them back to the residence building from there?

If they park in M lot, then yes. If they are directed to other parking on campus, they'll have to walk back.
