I'm borderline too. I'm dying for my grades to go up. I've been counting down all month-- seriously ask anyone IRC related at all. I've finished my year plan already too. I definitely don't want to lose this position.

Don't worry J-Met. You're not the only one.

About those 2 person apartments..would they cost the same as a double occupancy room, or Bates residence?

I honestly have no idea. I think your best bet is to call Housing and Conference Services.

In the personal survey, where it asks which faculty you want your roommate from, I clicked YES on everything because I dont care which faculty they come from...is this right, or should I click NO for everythign if I dont care?

Which rez would you guys say is "good moderation"...

ie. generally nice, outgoing, involved ppl.
ppl who can buckle down and study but also like to have a good time
CLEANEST / most private washrooms
study rooms
easy access to many buildings on rez (im in kin)

etc etc. any advice is appreciated!

The furthest buildings from classes are Hedden and Les Prince. Other than that you will be close...again it depends on where your classes are specifically...but you won't get to find that out until August (apparently).

The majority of the other things you mentioned have to do with people and not residences. Because the people who live in a res every year varies...you can't really say x res has the most outgoing people.

All of the residences have their own study rooms. Most, if not all are in the basements of the buildings.

And cleanliness...all the residences are cleaned Mon-Sat...it just depends on who you live with (as in floormates, their guests, the occaisonal randos) as to how dirty they get.

Remember...you all came to Mac after all the res students had been out for over a week and everything had been cleaned up. It's not usually that nice during the year. Especially Sundays.

You click yes to everything. But sometimes its best to stick to someone who's interested in the same fields.

This is the main reason I'm debating with myself over selecting to live with someone from my faculty. I enjoy competition, however the people who are really competitive to the point of obsession annoy me, and it pushes me to be competitive with them and causes stress that i don't need.

Even if i don't room with someone from my faculty i presume that there'll still be other ways to get connected and work with people from my faculty. Study groups and such?

I don't mean someone in the same faculty I mean someone in the same field of range. For example, if you're in Humanities someone in Social Science or something. If you're in Humanities don't get stuck with an Engineer.
