I just checked and I have a checkmark next to guarenteed now since they updated it. Most people should have it now as long as it said they were guarenteed in their package and they had 78% at midterm

The START program is being offered by the faculty of Science, and is running concurrently with the Easy Summer Orientation Program. So no, they are not the same.

oh okay..I was asking since I thought my odds may increase in getting a specific building..I honestly dont care about the floors but I will try this regardless

sorry for the late response FlyWithMac, but here it is!
I was a social person before I went to Mac, but i know people who weren't, and got some of the best friends they've ever had. It's REALLY easy to make friends because you have a much bigger variety of personalities and interests that people have so I thought it was a lot easier to find closer friends than high school. Also you're living with them pretty much, whether or not they're your roommates, so they see you at your best and worst, and it's just a lot easier to get so close with them.
You'll love wherever you end up

does anyone know , what is the chance of getting a spot in Rez for someone in Waiting LIst? Do you know students who were in waiting list and got spots( 1 or even 2 years ago)?

Well, unfortunately I don't have any really recent data, but I do know that back in 2003 a friend of mine was something like #396 on the waiting list when it was initially released, but by the end of the summer, he got a spot in rez.
The demand for places has certainly increased since then so I imagine that it'd be a little bit more difficult now, but if anything this gives you an indication that a significant number of people do drop out of rez or drop off the waiting list. So, depending on where you are on the list, there may still be hope yet.

It means that you share a room with another person. It depends on which residence your in also. However, unless it's Les Prince I'm pretty sure you won't have your own washroom.

It's on the website. Go to resapp.mcmaster.ca and click on application, then application status.

when you login to the application page, click on application --> application status and you can pick the application year and there will be a box listed as "guranteed" or "waitlist" and there will be a check mark there.
