YES! For the second time. How many times are we gonna do this?
Quarters made the vast majority of its money in its hey-day on thursday and Saturday nights, and while minor details may change, I haven't heard anything about the club nights ending.
One of the problems with Quarters was that it wasn't much of a place to go an hang out during the day. This is a big part of the new establishment.

I'm looking forward to the inevitable "80's night at 1280"!

Yes, we've clearly already established this.

I agree with Matt, while quarters is a night-club/ place to go dancing on select nights, it should feel more like a fun hangout spot during the day, which is something that it didn't really have. That's what I love so much about the Pheonix.
I hope that they are going to re-hire staff though, because the girls that worked there last year were all air-heads. I would have gone there much more often if the staff were more polite, and the service wasn't suuuupper slow.

looks preppy. It's awful in my opinion. Hire a better logo artist, its only around $100-200.

Although I agree that the service could have been better, as it seems to be a reoccuring issue presented by students, I don't think its that nice to call the staff air-heads, especially since most of them are my friends. Just saying heads up!

So would people be able to just hang out there and not purchase anything? Kinda like an extension of the student centre? Everyone keeps mentioning this "hang out" place during the day - but that doesn't necessarily mean revenue.
Anyways, I personally don't like the logo. Many people here are saying "meh". MSU marches on.

if anyone followed the link to the Sil, the logo is NOT the final one. so if you have some wicked design or ideas, send them to Andrew C ( [email protected] er.ca)
And I am right in for an 80s night at 1280!

The logo looks like a bit of an optical illusion to me.
Does anyone else find that because of the 'E' the rest of the letters appear to be on angles?
Maybe I've been on the computer for too long...

As for the new logo, I like it, since it's intended to be more of a scholarly hang-out, and less of a "club" feel.

Good thing it's also on the MSU home page where students can see it...oh...
Yeah I'm not a fan of the logo. As has been said, I too find it preppy-ish.
