And do we have a right to know who these "very, very biased" sources were? Even I was confused at the absurdity and low quality of most names on the list so much so that I just voted on Quarters simply because imagining the former being named as something else from the list was ridiculous imo. Alot of people here have taken offence to the "need to know" nature of MSU statements and It's really confusing as to why :S Can we know who that lot was by any chance, quite simply because the accusation of being "Biased" has been made?

1. Yeah, I'm pissed. I'm paying for a nasty club I won't go to no matter what, because it's the kind of people that attend that make the venue... and drunken first year girls are not my scene. And we're putting in as much money as we've lost! I really don't think there will be a difference in crowd and that the whole reno is pointless.
2. THE SAME THING IS HAPPENING NOW! We are only favouring 1280 because it's not crappy like the rest on the list!

@Huzaifa: the biased list came partially from last year's BoD and partially from the quarters bouncer/bartender staff.
@micajems: if people use your mindset of "the crowd will never change", then it will never change. The whole idea behind the renos is to update the bar to make it more accommodating to a wider range of students.Whatever the outcome, a name needs to be chosen asap so they can start on print media and the design of uniforms and the like. This may seem far-fetched to you, but a lot of people like Quarters.

ROFL....lets call it The Library. It'll appeal to a whole new group of students and open up to another market of drinkers.
Also, the new quarters needs to have pole dancers. and black jack.

Isn't someone from last year's BoD still on the quarters naming committee?

Yeah, 1280 seems fair.
Keep in theme with the bar already being called some sort of number-ish thing.
