No idea. But considering I've lived here for 19 years (minus the time spent in university) I've never seen/heard planes like that fly over my area, let alone that low.

Undercover Cops: These men and women will dress in civilian clothes and mingle among activists/blend into the crowd. They can even dress like "activists." They are marked by crest on their right side.

We just saw them in Orangeville, so I guess something's about to happen.

Anyways, I'm all for peaceful protesting, and advocating in what you believe in, as long as it's done in a tasteful manner. However, when it escalates into rioting, then the message is devalued and we lose sympathy. Olivia Chow wrote this on twitter:

Black Bloc pp have nothing in common with the peaceful rally. All they are doing is to justify huge security spending. #G20

It's essentially what they're doing, and I wholeheartedly agree with what she said.

Mounted officer just fell off his horse, looks like he was hit with something. Hope he's okay (or she, I dunno). They trotted forward after that and pushed everyone back.

This is ridiculous, honestly, why is everyone milling around down there? Someone's gonna get it, and then it'll be the police's fault.

The cops are being way to flexible. Not to talk about her without her reading this, but could you imagine if Cheri was a cop? lol.

I know it's selfish, but WOW, I am so glad I left for Hamilton yesterday and avoided all of this mess. Things were super tense down there yesterday, I can't even begin to imagine what it's like now. I just don't understand what the point of all of this is. To be honest, this is just weird for Toronto in the first place, where were these crazy people hiding?

That's what I find most amusing, come Monday these folks will go back to their regular jobs, once again unheard and unsatisfied.

Yeah, I came back on Friday. Completely avoided Union station and went to York U, luckily my dad works in that area so I didn't have to take the TTC home (which would have taken like 1.5 hours.

Mississauga It's busier than usual in the malls, I guess people are trying to stay away from the city as much as possible.

Chef says 75 arrests today, thus far.

Union, the UofT area hospitals (Sick Kids, General, etc) are still in lock down. :( Same with Eaton and Queen and the other streets.

The Jazz Festival is still going on at Nathan Philip Sq, and a bunch of "protesters" are going to be going right through there on their way to Bloor. Yhe jazz people are just gonna let it floooooow, unless they get kicked out.

BTW, what channel has everyone got on? I was watching CBC and CP24, but CBC got boring so I'm just on CP24 now.

Yeahh, going to York is a pain so that's lucky. Besides, I hear bus service to/from Union has been cancelled now. Guess I won't be coming up anytime soon.

Keep in mind that most of the violence was perpetrated by a small group.

I was hoping that the rest of the rally would separate from the violent ones so they don't get lumped in with the actions of a minority. Most protesters are peaceful and it's the violent acts that detract from the important messages about the G20/G8. Most news agencies aren't exactly helping to dispel the notion that all protesters are violent.
