MATH 1A03

C01 Tu Th Fr 08:3009:201 CNH/B107
HASKELL, D
C02 Mo Th 09:3010:201 MDCL/1110
Tu 10:3011:201
C03 Mo We Th 17:3018:301 MDCL/1110
KLEIN, T
T01 Tu 12:3013:201 MDCL/1110
HASKELL, D
T02 Fr 12:3013:201 MDCL/1110
HASKELL, D
T03 Fr 11:3012:201 MDCL/1110
HASKELL, D

For C02, why doesn't that class have an instructor listed? And if I was to to choose C01, does my Lab & Tutorial have to be L01 & T01 also?

Thanks!

hi drann, some courses don't' have the professor's name listed. they are still trying to figure it out. Nothing you can do about it. don't worry, you will have a professor in the end. and from how that timetable is listed. You can pick any of the tutorials listed because the tutorial listing is right after the listing of all the core lectures.

So, for example, if there was a core listed, followed by a tutorial, would that be the tutorial we'd be put in?

So if was listed int he following order:
C01
T01-T03
C02
T04-T06

This means that you have to be in T01-T03 if you pick C01 and if you pick C02, it has to be T04-T06.

hey thanks for answering my question Eva C; however, i have another question.

I'm going through the undergraduate calendar, and just looking through my course specifications.

So for MEDRADSC 1A03, it listed: One hour (lecture), three hours (tutorial)

So does that mean i have to take three tutorial classes and one core class? |

Thanks again!

Hi Dtrann,

First off, by looking at how the tutorials are listed, with T01, 02, and 03 all with the same prof, and your course description saying 3 hours of tutorial... My guess is that everyone would have the same tutorials (3 a week) and your prof is teaching them so they will be almost lecture in style (sort of like having 4 classes a week... but 3 of them are in a smaller room and more question-based). That would be my guess.

And I would recommend taking C01, cause its best having your core lecture course with the same professor as the one doing your tutorials. Also, you don't want to have classes mixed between two professors because professors teach at different rates, may use different material, and have different teaching styles... so one prof may teach faster, use powerpoints, and be clear to understand, while the other is slower, with no powerpoint, so you have to write things out more, etc. If you attended classes with two profs it would be hard to keep things straight since they'd be in different places in the course material.

MEDRADSC 1A03

C01 Mo We 08:3009:201MDCL/1309

Fr 10:3011:201MDCL/1309

T01 We 17:3018:301MDCL/1309

However what if there's only one tutorial class offered? It wouldn't statisfy the need of the course's description (the 3 hours tutorial part).

It seems as though the hours for the class and tutorial were accidentally switched.

It's very odd that a class would have a three hour tutorial, but only one hour of lecture. Also, from what you gave us, there is three hours of lecture, and one hour of tutorial.

Quick question...

If SOLAR opens up tomorrow and I choose my courses at midnight, will I be able to access SOLAR during my academic counselling session later on that day?

I am aware that SOLAR only allows you to stay on for periods of 45 minutes. I am unsure if that means 45 minutes each day or repeated 45 minute sessions during that day.

Thanks

Sorry if this is a repeated question...I couldn't find an answer when I looked.

Nope, the question hasn't been asked. You can access MUGSI for 45 minutes at a time. Thus, you can be on it for as many times as 45 fits into a day, minus the 2 hours only university administration is online.
