Yes, you have to bring your own bedding, sheets and pillows.

I was just wondering how likely it is for a first-year to be roomed with a second-year student on rez?

Hmm, I doubt it rarely ever happens. Everyone I know in rez entering first year, has only first-year roommates.. So I believe they tend to put people in the same year together.

Depends on the res.
I had a first year, a third year, and a fourth year as roommates last year. I was in Bates.
I'm fairly sure there's a lot more upper years in Bates/Keyes >_>

There are 550 bed spaces in Bates. Usually there are approximately 350 first years in the building. Keyes usually has around 150 first years, but I can't recall the number of bed spaces. I know it works out to being a primarily upper-year res though.

I wonder why not as many upper years choose Les Prince over Keyes/Bates.

i think its just that more bed spaces are in keyes and bates, so the bulk of upper years are put there. Hence why they have the rep of being upper year residences

It might also be due to the fact that it's apartment style. That means you always get your own room.

Well you can request a Single w/ washroom in LP. That way you get your own room AND don't share a washroom.

But there are WAY more "single" rooms in Keyes than in Les Prince. Plus, you are only sharing with 1 other person. (I think it's 4 people in an apartment with 2 washrooms)

Upper years usually get single rooms regardless of which residence they are in. Single rooms are reserved mostly for people who need special accommodations, first years who get an entrance average of 95% or over and upper years.
I lived in a single room in Whidden last year as an upper year.
