youtube commentary perfectly describes this thread:
It's obviously lost sight of the matter at hand and it's become a bickering off personal beliefs. It's good to try and convince someone why certain things are wrong/right in their own respective manor, but when it comes down to name calling and whatnot... the thread has finally lost its original purpose which was to express our feeling towards the topic... Not an argument about who's right and wrong in terms of their own beliefs.
Thread died a couple pages back. People hating on each other. Me thinks this thread needs a locking :/
I have to agree with Dreus and Roy on this one. The nature of these discussion boards is to engage in friendly and constructive conversation and sharing of opinions. While I invite people to contact Sabrina or other members through private messaging to compare personal beliefs about Facebook privacy, please do not post messages intended solely to annoy and/or offend other users (Refer Section 5 in our TOS).
If there is nothing else constructive or any other opinions to add about the story of the student charged with the Brandon Hall arson, then this thread will be locked.
I think people should stop regarding the issue and instead fix up the problem he caused everyone and just relax. He is already getting a beating from society; his life is like a life sentence (a messed up and unfixable life) + societal pressure. Just let him be for what he did and just walk forward, nothing can be changed for what has happened.

He won't realize the consequence of his actions unless we hammer it into him.
Yes, he has made a big mistake. However, what's the point of putting sense into him, when there are many other things to worry about. It's one person versus over 500 students. I'm sure the Brandon students health and life is much more vital than how the perpetrator should feel.
Also, I think it's important to note, that according to either the Star or the Spec (can't remember which one), he cried at his arraignment and tried to hide his face with his hood, which I believe is a sure sign of guilt.
He won't realize the consequence of his actions unless we hammer it into him.
I think you need to chill out there bud. Maybe take a chill pill or take a time out? I think he knows he screwed up....let it go man...just let it go...
