I am going to have to wait until August 9th. I know I confirmed the payment agreement before the date we were supposed to. But I have edited it since then (for scholarship). I understand that there is an issue because I/we edited our payment agreements, but I have a question ( I am having difficulty wording it haha). Should I be able to change my courses, or was it like stated somewhere that if you change it after a certain date you will not be allowed on until August 9th? Sorry for being so confusing!

Ok, so remind me again, because Im getting confused reading all these posts. Once I can access SOLAR will I be able to change into specific sectons i.e. C01, T01, L01. How will I be able to do that, and why does it say I can't access SOLAR untill the 9th.

Ok, so, I finalllyyyyy got to see my timetable .. and it's not that bad .. I just have a couple of questions.
At the very top, it says ACTION REQUIRED and then lists FRENCH 1Z06 - LAB TO BE SELECTED BY STUDENT. Do I have to do anything? I checked the master timetable and it doesn't list any labs so far .. just TBA.
Also, if I want to change around the times of my courses to a certain prof, but on the same day that it was initially scheduled, am I automatically slotted out of the one that Mac put me in? I don't want to change it, find that the class I want is full, and then be royally screwed since I was slotted out of the original one.

I assume that yes, if you are put in a slot that is where you will remain unless you remove yourself.

Oh man... i had to change my entire schedule due to one conflict. And the only class I can't change is Bio 1a03. Full Full Fulll Fulllllllllll and Fullll is all I keep getting :(.
Even all the labs asnd tutorials are full except the one i'm in... which is conflicting with Physics 1P03. Now, if there was an actual option as to which slot we want Physics 1P03 classes in... I would be ok. But there are no options so I think i'm screwed!

Okay so i just spoke to the manager of the Student Accounts and Cashiers office and she told me that there is a HUGE glitch in the system and that if we already made our payment agreement we are fully registered but it just isn't letting us change our classes because of a glitch and that they're working on it right now and that they're very sorry!
YAY good news

Eli, talk to your department if there is honestly no way you can re-arrange your schedule again.
You obviously need that class this year...

Thanks. I'll give them a call. BUt does anyone know if you keep changing your core while it says full... IF a spot frees up because someone changes their core will it still go through for you even though it says full?

If someone drops the course it will be come...un-full (?) and then you can add it; but I don't think it will end up allowing you to add the course if the status still says full.

ATTENTION ALL
I have just made a posting on the MI homepage explaining the situation with SOLAR and not letting you get in to change your courses.
This thread is about the Timetable, which is currently working fine now... so limit discussion to Timetable only, and if you'd like to discuss SOLAR.. you can post in the SOLAR re-opens thread.

T01 is a tutorial
L... is most likely a lab
You have core classes (which are your lectures where a professor is at the front talking and you're taking notes), and then you have tutorials which are once a week (usually) and are the time when you ask most of your questions since you have a T.A. (teaching assistant) in a room with only 10-30 people, so since there are less people you get to ask questions, get help, and review class material with your T.A. and the rest of the group in your tutorial. You also usually hand in your papers/essays during tutorial to your T.A. who marks them. The prof usually doesn't mark your assignments, they just lecture.
Labs are in science classes and is where you do practical application of what you've learned. I'm not in science though so I can't say much about them
